NA7001 7" Single 2002 Produced by Dan Ubick Connie Price and The Keystones, the L.A. based ensemble led by guitarist Dan Ubick and trumpeter Todd Simon, released this 7" as an ode to the band's former trumpeter Paul "The Badger" Vargas who quit the horn after his release to focus on the Fender Rhodes. An awesome deep funk workout singled out by Keb Darge for a "best of the new funk" compilation, "The Badger" is paired with the reggae-funk of "Sweet Soul Music" on the flip.
